The tragedy of the Guadalupe River floods in central Texas in 2025 will be remembered for generations. The events that occurred in Kerr County stand at the forefront of those memories. What is lesser known about those floods is that further north, in the San Angelo area, flood waters also swelled and swallowed hundreds of homes. Although they didn't experience the same force of water flow as their neighbors to the south, the effects were undeniable. Portions of the city filled like a bowl and sent families scrambling for higher ground. When the water receded, the recovery efforts began.
