When an EF4 tornado scarred its way across Kentucky the town of Mayfield made headlines with visuals of the downtown area's destruction. Although the tragedy in Mayfield was shocking, other communities along the path were equally abused. The town of Gilbertsville is situated on the north end of Kentucky Lake saw entire neighborhoods reduced to debris fields. It was one of the most stark examples of natures destructive powers Jamie had seen in his time working with humanitarian and disaster response organizations.
