In January of 2025 a series of wildfires ignited almost simultaneously around Los Angeles County. The historic area of Altadena lost over 9,000 structures. The majority being homes. Many were generational homes that left lifelong residents unsure of how they would be able to rebuild and stay. The removal of toxic debris took months and after, the process of removing charred trees and other vegetation began. Clean up and rebuild will take years, but the outpouring of community support for neighbors helps bring hope.
