Super Typhoon
Sinlaku
Saipan, 2026
In April of 2026 Super Typhoon Sinlaku made landfall in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. A series of dots in the Pacific Ocean and home to over 50,000 United States citizens. The Commonwealth has been an autonomous territory of the U.S. since 1986. The storm move painfully slow over the islands of Saipan and Tinian for almost two full days. It stripped normally lush green trees of their leaves and twisted corrugated metal around everything that would hold it. The islands lost power and, becasue most water was supplied by pumps, running water. Jamie was embedded with an advance medical team to determine needs and necessary composition of a larger EMT Type-1 Medical Team to follow.
