Also earning a fourth place award in the Waterscapes category is this image taken in the fog on San Diego harbor.
This image, captured in Haiti immediately after the 2021 earthquake, pays tribute to those who volunteer and respond to humanitarian crises. In this scene a U.S. Army Chinook helicopter takes off after delivering much needed medical supplies to an aid group assisting in local hospitals and clinics.

The photograph was awarded a fourth place ribbon in the Documentary Photography category at the The International Exhibit of Photography in San Diego, CA.

The International Exhibit of Photography is the largest and oldest juried print competition in North America. In 2025 over 3,600 entries were submitted. Of those, 1,200 made it to exhibition and awards for excellence were given to the top four entries in each category.
Although not awarded a ribbon, this image of a single poppy rising from a field in Champaign, France received an Honorable Mention in the Flowers category.
