"I grew up here... it got ruined badly"

In January, 2024 San Diego, California experienced a 100-year storm and resulting floods. In a city that is more prepared for fires than water, it was a devastating event. While working with an NGO on the response efforts, I met a young girl who's grandparents were impacted and lost nearly everything. Over the course of a week, volunteers and neighbors were able to get the home ready for the rebuild process to begin.
